Sherry was born in Montana and has lived in Minnesota, Colorado, Florida, and South Dakota. She and hubby full-time RV and spend their summers in Minnesota and winters in someplace warmer.
Sherry has always enjoyed film photography: however, in June of 2007 she entered the digital world by purchasing a used point and shoot digital camera. The following Christmas their children gave them a new digital, which included lots of bells and whistles.
Sherry sold framed photographs and numerous greeting cards to snowbirds as well as locals while in Alabama last winter. She is having equal success in Minnesota.
Two of Sherry’s photographs earned Honorable Mention in an Alabama photo contest and is on display through August, 2008 at the Eastern Shore Art Gallery in Fairhope, Alabama.
Framed and/or matted photographs as well as greeting cards are for sale at Ruby Hill Gallery in Carlos, MN.
Sherry has entered photos and won several blue ribbons at the 2008 Douglas County Fair. Also, she plans to have on exhibit at Three Havens Art Gallery the weekend of September 19-21.
Hobbies include: genealogy, gardening, canoeing, and any other activity that will get her outside. Sherry and her family have enjoyed many canoe trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota. A life-long dream was fulfilled about 10 years ago during a three-day snowshoe and cross country ski trek in the BWCAW—an incredible experience with minus 30 degree temps.
The beauty in nature is amazing and Sherry is happiest in the woods with a camera in her hand.
